Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic School Standardized Testing
Each October, students throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit take the Cogat, IOWA Test, & on-line AOD Religion Test. As you can see by our IOWA scores, our students and teachers demonstrate the results of hard work, a complete curriculum, & instruction utilizing best practices.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs uses the Archdiocese of Detroit Religion standards. Our Lady Queen of Martyrs students in grades 1-8 complete an annual on-line Religion eAssessment during the month of October.

What tests are given at OLQM and what do we do with the scores?
- Grades 1, 3, 5, 7 take the Cogat. This test gives input into the learning style & aptitude of students
- Grades 1-8 take the IOWA test. This test gives input into academic growth & student and curricular strengths & weaknesses
- Grades 1-8 take the Religion on-line eAssessment test
What do this year’s scores show?
- The longer students spend working in our program the more their educational goals are met.
- Students gained an average of 2 years of education during the 2017-18 school year.
- Our 8th grade composite score shows our students testing at a 13.0 level. This is equivalent to a first year college student taking the test!
- In comparison to national scores, our student proficiency rates are higher.
